The Story

Named after a local hero

Named after a local legend; a weaver, patron and pioneer, The Jack O’ Newbury is a restaurant and pub with rooms located in the Berkshire village of Binfield. Created by chef Dom Chapman & restaurateur Nigel Sutcliffe, The Jack O’ Newbury – ‘The Jack’ as it will be known – celebrates the people, produce and craft behind good hospitality, from the bar and kitchen to the eleven individually designed rooms upstairs.

Sustainability ingrained in everything

We’ve built sustainability into The Jack from the ground up. From our herb garden and recycled-plastic carpets to solar panels helping power the rooms. It’s in the details, from the way we’ve built the car park to the way we run the pub.

Private Dining

A space to make your own

Our private dining room offers an intimate setting for lunches, dinners and celebrations, away from the hum of the main pub, with the same warm welcome and seasonal Berkshire produce you’ll find throughout The Jack.
